Beth Ley – ceramicist

Beth Ley has been potting since 1980 and specialises in wheel-thrown functional ware.  She has benefited from the expertise of great teachers including Audrey Heatwole, John Christian and Rod Bamford.  Perhaps the greatest influence on her potting has been Greg Daly and his glaze-on-glaze techniques.

Here are some examples of her stoneware in the Chaucer on Bridge street Gallery.

Beth has recently retired from her career as a pre-school teacher and now devotes herself full-time to ceramics.  She has won numerous prizes at local shows.  She lives in Armidale, NSW and is married with two children and four grandchildren.
